Cannot Rest or Sleep at Night due to Stress or Worries?

Dear Friends,… If you cannot rest or sleep at night or have a proper rest, have you ever wished you had a solution? Of course! But if you were to know of the solution, would you act on the solution to make your life a little better?
Most people were able to sleep well when they were a baby… that’s where the expression goes,”sleep like a baby”… well that’s easy to understand as babies don’t have much to think about and hence are able to rest easily and sleep soundly.
Think about it, if you are able to convince yourself that you will handle the problem properly when you wake up the next day and not have the problem be unconsciously and constantly bugging you like a ringing bell whenever you wanted to take a rest wouldn’t it be great?
Well, here’s a solution which have worked for many people and I wish you would give it a try the next time you felt troubled and worry that you have unaccomplished things to do… thus causing you to lose sleep or cannot sleep at all.
1. When you felt that you’re not able to sleep or there is something bugging you… especially a thought of some unfinished task, just wake up, write down all the issues that are causing you to lose sleep on a piece of paper or enter into your computer and assure yourself that you would refer to this piece of note the next day
2. When you refer to your list you wrote last night, pick the top 20% of the most important items and start acting on them. Do not procrastinate as doing so would cause you to lose sleep again in future.
3. If you cannot seem to concentrate or just want to avoid facing the most important things that are causing you to lose sleep, do this: Give yourself at least 5 minutes rest by setting a 5 minutes alarm and close your eyes for 5 minutes while you sit upright on a chair with your hands straighten and resting on your knees (your back need to be straight so that you’ll not fall asleep). Just think of nothing and breathe slowly while you count to 20 and then just try to relax till your 5 minute’s is up and your alarm rings.
4. When you open your eyes after your 5 minutes rest, try to do what’s important to you (something that popped up in your mind during your 5 minutes’ rest)
Whenever you felt that you’re just too busy and still do not feel or seem that you are doing something right, just repeat the 5 minutes rest and write down all or the most important items that you think about during your 5 minutes rest and then do your best to complete the top 20% of the most important items in your list throughout the day.
If you regularly do this step, you’ll find that you would be able to sleep better and better as the days go
Hope you’ll have a good rest every night & a great life ahead!
P.S. - Remember to look at the blue skies more often as the colour blue is therapeutic since it helps a person to relax, stay calm and assist in healing
