Some opportunities are like this (the door to opportunities require you to take the first step before it’ll be opened for you):
1. When you see an opportunity (e.g. an entrance to a building), you’ve to work towards seizing that opportunity (walk near to the automatic door) before the door would open for you.
2. Even when a door is closed, it might not be locked! So if you really want to enter or exit from a building, just try opening the door and not just assume that it’s locked when it is closed
It applies to our attitude towards achieving a goal we have, we should not impose false restrictions on ourselves. Sometimes, it just requires us to think positive

The Past Does Not Equate to the Future Unless You Live There… So if what you’re experiencing today is not to your satisfaction, start to change the way you usually do things today and do them with a hope that it’ll result in a better tomorrow ![]()

To me, life on Earth is like we’re on a ‘Holiday Planet’. That’s because we have, to a certain extend, a Freedom of Choice to decide how we spend our time in this ‘Holiday Planet’. The reason why I said this is because while we’re alive, we get to decide on what we want to do and not do (limited by the choices available in the environment we live in, but then, we’re not a tree rooted to the ground! So, in general, we can literally move to another environment that suits us
). However, once we’re dead, I’m sure this Freedom of Choice would be gone forever! Hence, we should always remember that Time & Tide Waits for No Man, and Tomorrow Might Never Come. Thus, whilst we’re still alive on Earth, we should treasure each and everyday of our lives and try to live it to the fullest-treasure our friends & love ones while we still have the PRESENT (as in ‘a gift of life’ & ‘Today’)
The other reason why I think it’s like a ‘Holiday Planet’ is due to the fact that we’re only on Earth for a brief period of time (our life-span)-just like when we spend a brief period of time in a foreign land during our holiday-as we’ll (pardon my English) ‘expire’ one day and leave this planet and all that’s in it for GOD knows where?.. For Christians, it’ll be Heaven (if we believe Jesus is our Saviour).
Just think about it for a moment, when we’re on a holiday, the amount of money we have for spending is very important as it’ll determine the type food, lodging, entertainment, etc we could have. Hence, while we’re on this ‘Holiday Planet’, if we do not earn enough, the type of food & lodging for example would vary significantly from those who earn enough or even in excess (hope we could all achieve this) ;-) Our current situation is a reflection of our past decisions or indecisions. It’s the manifestation of our past actions or inactions. However, don’t worry, as ‘The Past Does Not Equate to the Future Unless We Live There.’ As long as we’re still alive, we’ll have the PRESENT to make a difference to all our TOMORROWS
Hence, it brings me to the conclusion that what we decide to do and not do is very important and should always be taken seriously and personally. Especially when we’re definitely on the receiving end when our errors becomes a life-threatening mistake! (Remember: What Goes Around Comes Around) Thus, we must always remember to be responsible for all our actions and think twice before acting. Else, we might just regret the act!
Here’s something to think about: A Dream Without Action is a Daydream. But an Action Without a Dream (Consideration/Thought) is a Nightmare!
